Dartmouth faculty, staff, and students can now can access nytimes.com from anywhere on campus or from home.

1. Create a new account on nytimes.com while connected to the Dartmouth network.

2. Use your Dartmouth email address.

3. Once you have created the account, you'll be back at the original screen, now click on "Already have an account? Log in here »"

4. You will need to renew your account periodically, but access is free. Please note that account renewals require you to be connected to the Dartmouth Network either while on campus or via VPN.

(Unfortunately access to the New York Times web edition does not include e-reader editions or crosswords.)

Access to archived Times articles within the date range 1923-1980 is limited within the web interface, and you may wish to use one of several other service providers.  For access to historical news (Times, 1857-2011; Journal, 1889-1995), please consult ProQuest Historical Newspapers.
