Yes! We have lots of workshops every term. Some are introductory classes like the Letterpress Orientation (required before working with letterpress during Open Studio) or one of our Bookbinding Orientations (not required, but strongly recommended before making books in Open Studio), such as Accordions and Booklets or Cases and Wrappers. Others are more specific, where you can learn how to make pop-ups, sew a journal, decorate, or even make paper. Most of the classes don’t require a lot of (if any) previous experience or materials. You must register online because we can only fit 6-8 people per class. Workshops are free for all students and Libraries staff. Faculty, staff, alumni, and community members need to pay a fee. Please see the full schedule here.
