Online resources such as e-books and digital journals are already available in the library catalog, and Dartmouth-affiliated patrons can access them at any time. Specially-requested digital scans of course reserve materials are placed into a queue that is monitored by reserve staff. The timeline on processing these depends on how many requests are in the queue; typically, requests take longer to fill at the beginning of a term due to the volume of requests, but take less time later in the term. Plan for a six to eight week ordering process for new copies of items. Contact your subject librarian in advance if you wish to order new items the library does not currently own
